Having adopted PetroMasila’s focus on future success, the company’s Reservoir Development Department not only utilizes cutting edge techniques to efficiently meet production targets but is also behind planning for new drilling operations for years to come.
A team of highly-qualified specialists monitor existing wells to ensure that ambitious production targets are maintained and to discover opportunities to increase production. This year alone – to cap off an already successful beginning to PetroMasila’s operations – five new wells will be drilled. While the finishing touches are put on these new wells, employees are already fully engaged in plans for wells to be introduced in the coming years.
With a focus on the environment firmly in place, the Reservoir Development Department does its part to maintain PetroMasila’s reputation as company in step with advances in the oil production industry. Seismic, electromagnetic and aeromagnetic survey techniques are used by the department’s geophysicists, geologists and production engineers to pinpoint new drilling locations. Methods including hydraulic fractioning and water injection are being considered to enhance production at PetroMasila’s many drilling locations.
Putting cost concerns aside, PetroMasila has also begun looking into using natural gas as an alternative to diesel in its future operations.
